In short

Setting up a company in Dubai takes, in practice, 14 working days in a free zone and 5 to 7 working days for an offshore. A mainland licence also requires an address registered with Ejari. Oh My Desk provides the address, the office and the coordination; the licence, the visas and the accounting go through our team and our licensed partners.

Why founders choose us

Why do it here rather than somewhere else

A company formation firm sells you a licence, then leaves you to find an office. A coworking operator rents you an office, then leaves you to find a firm. We do both in the same building, and that is the only reason that should make up your mind: the address on your licence is the one where you put your laptop.

In practice, that removes the back-and-forth that costs three weeks: the Ejari is issued on a contract we sign ourselves, the meeting room where you receive your bank is on the same floor, and the day you go from two people to six, we change the office without touching the licence.

  • Everything under one roofLicence, Ejari, office, accounting, payroll and legal — coordinated by one team, in the building where you work.
  • Licensed partners, namedWe are a workspace operator. What only a law firm, an accountant or an immigration agent may do, we say so — and we tell you who does it.
  • One contact, start to finishThe same person follows your file from the first call to the day you pick up your keys. No ticket number.

Everything you need, under one roof

We support four things, and only four — because those are the ones we have a team for. Each page says what is mandatory, within what deadline, and what we cannot promise you.

What we do, and what we do not do

We are not a law firm, not an accounting firm and not an immigration agent. We are a workspace operator that coordinates licensed partners — and we would rather write that plainly than let you find out halfway through.

What we do directly: the business address and the Ejari, the office or the desk, the meeting room for your appointments, and end-to-end coordination of your file. What goes through a licensed partner, billed by them: the licence itself, the visas, the accounting, the audit and the legal advice.

Frequently asked questions

Do you need a physical office to set up a company in Dubai?
For a Dubai mainland licence, yes: the official u.ae portal states that every business must have a physical address and that the contract must be registered with Ejari. In a free zone, a flexi-desk provided by the zone is usually enough.
How long does it take to set up a company?
14 working days on average for free zone approval according to u.ae, and 5 to 7 working days for a JAFZA offshore. For the mainland, no overall timeline is officially guaranteed: it depends on the additional approvals and on getting the Ejari.
Can a foreigner own 100% of their company?
Yes, including on the mainland since 2021. A few activities of strategic impact are still restricted: defence, telecoms, banking and insurance, commercial agencies, Hajj and Umrah, fishing.
Is Oh My Desk a company formation firm?
No. We are a workspace operator. We provide the address, the Ejari, the office and the coordination of your file; the licence, the visas, the accounting and the legal advice are handled by licensed partners who invoice you directly.
What exactly does Oh My Desk handle, and what goes through a partner?
We handle the business address and the Ejari, the office or the desk, the meeting room for your appointments, and coordination of the file from start to finish. The licence itself, the visas, the accounting, the audit and the legal advice go through licensed partners, who invoice you directly.
Do I have to set up my company with you to rent a desk?
No, the two are independent. You can take a desk with a licence you already hold, and we can coordinate a setup for someone who only needs the address and the Ejari.
Where are your addresses in Dubai?
Downtown and Business Bay are open; Design District opens on 1 October 2026. The address on your licence is the one where you actually put your laptop — that is the whole point of doing both in the same building.
Can I change office without touching my licence?
Yes, within our buildings. The day you go from two people to six, we change the office and the licence stays as it is. That is the practical advantage of taking the address and the workspace from the same operator.
How much does it cost?
There is no public price list for a licence in Dubai: the Department of Economy and Tourism provides a calculator that works case by case, and each free zone sets its own fees. We give you your own figure, on your actual activity, before you commit — and we tell you what comes from us and what comes from an authority.
Do you take a commission on your partners' fees?
No. Partners invoice you directly for their work, and we tell you their price before you commit.
