Guillaume Rassemi: the entrepreneur who built the office he could not find
From a digital marketing agency in France to three workspaces in Dubai — how Oh My Desk came to be, and what its founder is building next.
A founder from the start
Guillaume Rassemi says he always wanted to run his own business. As a child, he told Dubaï Madame in 2025, he used to invent small, imaginary companies in his bedroom. The real ones came later, in France, where he spent more than fifteen years in digital marketing and entrepreneurship.
His first company was a digital marketing agency. He grew it, then sold it to Horyzon Media, a subsidiary of the Solocal group. Between 2015 and 2018 he was also president of France 2.0, a business consulting company based in Issy-les-Moulineaux, near Paris. At the time, the French press described him as a social media marketing specialist.
Dubai, 2019
In 2019 he moved to Dubai. “Dubai is a city where everything is possible and where entrepreneurship is encouraged,” he told Dubaï Madame (translated from French), pointing to its business-friendly rules, its infrastructure and its international community. Two years later, in 2021, he launched Shampou, an online haircare brand run from Dubai.
What he kept running into was the office itself. After years of building companies, he had worked from too many places that never felt right: some too rigid, some too cold, some coworking spaces that looked great on Instagram and were exhausting to use every day. “I realized that most offices were built either to impress visitors or to maximize square meters,” he told Khaleej Times. “Very few were designed around how people actually live and work every day.”
Oh My Desk, founded in 2023
The answer was Oh My Desk, which he founded in Dubai in 2023 with his partner Amir Mottaghi. The two founders financed the company themselves from day one. The roles are clear: Guillaume Rassemi leads strategy, growth and operations, and stays involved in daily decisions; Amir Mottaghi brings the architecture and the visual identity of every space.
The brief was simple and demanding: offices where people feel at home without losing professionalism. He describes the result as “premium private offices and coworking spaces that feel welcoming, like Parisian-style offices, but with Dubai’s energy and 24/7 flexibility.” Oh My Desk opened in Downtown Dubai, in Al Fattan Downtown facing City Walk, and in Business Bay, in Bay Square Building 12. Members get in 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and one membership opens every address.
“Most entrepreneurs don’t need spectacular offices. They need peace of mind.”
Guillaume Rassemi, Khaleej Times, 2026
He is just as firm on community, a word he thinks the industry has emptied of meaning. “Community is not something you can fake,” he says. At Oh My Desk it is handled as part of operations: a Happiness Manager, and a calendar of padel tournaments, football leagues, yoga sessions and laser tag that turns neighbours into a network. In 2025, according to Dubaï Madame, Oh My Desk received a “Best coworking space in Dubai 2025” award from the founder of the Letswork network.
Design District and what comes next
The third address, Oh My Desk Dubai Design District, opens on 1 October 2026. He calls it the flagship: a space inside the Gargash Brand Center with a rooftop overlooking what he considers “the most beautiful and creative district of Dubai.”
The growth plan is deliberately paced. The roadmap presented in January 2026 includes ten locations in Dubai, two in Abu Dhabi, then expansion across the GCC starting with Saudi Arabia. The rule he sets for it is that a new space only opens if it can deliver the same comfort, service and community as the existing ones.
How he works
“Entrepreneurship in Dubai is about ambition, speed, and resilience,” he told KHAMSA. “Dubai rewards boldness, but also requires discipline.” His advice to new founders is to start without waiting for the perfect moment and to build a strong network early, because in Dubai networking is essential. Looking back, he says he would probably have launched Oh My Desk sooner, given how fast demand for private offices has grown in Dubai.
He is a morning person, trains in the morning and meditates in the evening, and describes balancing the company with a family of four children as a daily effort. Alongside Oh My Desk he runs Crawford Backgammon, a French brand of handmade backgammon boards. He speaks French and English.
